Why courage

YOU HAVE MORE IN YOU.

We believe most people are capable of more than they think.

More than the safe choice.
More than what others expect from them.
More than staying comfortable.

But doing something different takes courage.

Courage to fail.
Courage to be judged.
Courage to take the first step when you don't know where it will lead.

That's why we started Courage.

BORN FROM A MILITARY MINDSET

We are Gert and Gerd.

Two childhood friends who grew up together, spent years kickboxing and eventually both found our way into the military.

Gert served ten years as a paracommando. Gerd joined the military in 2009 and is still serving today.

The military taught us many things, but some stayed with us more than others.

Discipline.

Perseverance.

Camaraderie.

And above all: discovering that you're often capable of much more than you initially believe.

Those values became the foundation of Courage.

Not because we wanted to create another fitness brand.

But because we wanted to build something that represents the mentality we believe in.

I TORE UP MY GOLDEN TICKET.

For Gert, Courage started with a decision.

Leaving the military.

Not because he hated it. Quite the opposite.

It was a secure career. A familiar environment. A good life.

The golden ticket.

But security isn't the same as fulfillment.

Life is short. And at some point, you have to decide whether you're going to keep doing what's comfortable or find out what you're actually capable of.

So he tore up his golden ticket.

He left the military and chose the uncertainty of becoming an entrepreneur.

There were no guarantees that it would work.

There still aren't.

But that's exactly the point.

Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's deciding that something else matters more.

YOUR WORST TRAINING COUNTS.

We believe the same mentality applies to training.

Anyone can train when they're motivated.

The difficult days are different.

The days when you've worked all day. When you're tired. When the session feels terrible. When you'd rather stay home.

Go anyway.

Even if you only do one exercise.

Even if it's the worst workout you've had all year.

Because progress isn't built on your best day.

It's built by continuing to show up.

Your worst training counts.

And sometimes simply showing up is the victory.

BORN IN THE MILITARY. NOT LIMITED BY IT.

Our roots will always be military.

You'll see that in our colours, our designs and our mentality.

Courage started with clothing for people from the military who train, because that's the world we know.

But our mission goes much further.

You don't have to wear a uniform to belong to Courage.

You might be a soldier.

A fighter.

A nurse.

An entrepreneur.

A student walking into a gym for the first time.

Or simply someone who has decided that there has to be more.

Your profession doesn't define whether you belong here.

Your mentality does.

MORE THAN GYMWEAR.

We don't want Courage to become just another logo on another T-shirt.

We want to build a community.

A place for people who aren't afraid to choose a different path. People who challenge themselves and encourage others to do the same.

Because sometimes all someone needs is that little push.

To sign up.

To walk into the gym.

To enter the ring.

To change careers.

To start the business.

To finally do the thing they've been talking about for years.

Courage won't take that step for you.

But we want to remind you that you can.

OUR ROOTS. OUR RESPONSIBILITY.

The military gave us experiences, friendships and values that helped shape who we are today.

We don't want to forget where we came from.

As Courage grows, our ambition is to use part of what we build to support military personnel who have been injured during their service.

Because Courage shouldn't only be about building something for ourselves.

It should eventually allow us to give something back.

THIS IS COURAGE.

Courage isn't about being the strongest person in the room.

It isn't about never being afraid.

And it isn't about succeeding at everything you try.

It's about having the courage to find out what you're capable of.

To choose the uncomfortable path.

To get back up.

To be different.

To show up when you don't feel like it.

And sometimes, to tear up your own golden ticket.

Our story started with our decision.

Courage is about yours.

COURAGE.
PERSEVERANCE.
BE DIFFERENT.
